An email marketing customer survey from AWeber found the 2 most common tactics for integrating social media with e-mail marketing was tweeting email newsletters followed by email broadcasting of blog entries as reflected below:
When marketers were asked what they are planning to implement, the most common integration tactic cited is adding sign-up forms on social media pages. This allows the audience to subscribe on the social platform, while providing marketers with an opportunity to stay engaged via personalized email. Growing e-mail subscribers was cited as the top benefit of integrating social and e-mail.
As marketers become more sophisticated, the metrics they track and the value of social engagement will help prioritized integrated tactics.
